Casa das Lérias - a place with history

Casa das Lérias had the honor of hosting Porto Canal for a special reportage. The portuguese tv channel’s reporters were welcomed by the General Manager of this property, Susana Nero.

Highlighting the great reception that all the channel's team received upon arrival at the property, the interviewer asks the General Manager about the origin of the name Casa das Lérias. “This space inherits the name of the Portuguese conventual sweets that were produced and sold in this building, back in the old days: the lérias”, said Susana Nero.

The General Manager explains that Casa das Lérias is based on a concept of relaxation and escape from routine. She also emphasizes that guests can enjoy nature, without leaving the city center. The property is designed for both couple's getaways and family weekends, and the cafeteria and restaurant’s spaces are open to welcome locals.

When asked about the future objectives for Casa das Lérias, Susana Nero mentions that the main goal is to reach more visitors from other countries, stating that the property has received guests from all regions of Portugal, and even from Spain.

GM ends the interview by saying that "this is a place that carries history and there are many locals who visit the hotel and share stories passed down in the pastry shop that used to exist on this location."
